What is an electric boiler?

What are the benefits of electric boilers?
An electric boiler will make your home more comfortable and save you money. You won't need an annual service which will help save money. They are also very easy to install as they work with gas plumbing systems and are much smaller than gas boilers which help save space.
Is electric boiler heat expensive?
Electric boilers are far easier to install and run more efficiently compared to gas boilers. However, the cost to run them can be more expensive than a gas boiler so it's important to weigh up both depending on what you need. If you do not have a reliable gas line in your home, then electric boilers may mean you get far better heating efficiency in your home.
Can electric boilers heat radiators?
Electric boilers are a great way to heat water if you don't want or need the added cost of gas. They use electricity to heat the water as opposed to gas. Electric combi systems work well with both hot and cold taps making them perfect for bathrooms and radiators.
Can I replace my gas boiler with an electric boiler?
It is easy to convert your gas boiler with an electric one. The plumbing of heating and hot water are the same, so they can be fitted on either type of system. There's no need for extra pipes and electric boilers will save on your annual gas bill.
How many radiators can an electric boiler run?
As a general rule, you should add 1.5kW per radiator in your property to whichever boiler you choose. For example, you have 4 boilers in your home, then a 6kW boiler will provide you with sufficient heat for your home and run the radiators efficiently.
